This course was incredible. Very well maintained, very challenging, and very beautiful. That pretty much covers golf, right? Incredible scenery, well-kept greens and fairways, and challenging enough to be fun but not impossibly hard. There are lots of tree-lined greens, water, and ravines. The carts have built-in gps units that work fairly well. They were not the most user-friendly, but it was most likely user error. I haven't played Whistling Straits and some of the other elite courses in Wisconsin, but this is right up there with Wild Rock as my favorite Wisconsin course. Bring lots of balls, I know I went through a good number of them!

This is one of the best courses in Wisconsin yet gets overshadowed by it's Kohler neighbors. The course is extremely difficult with 4 different sets of tees to choose from you can go from over 7100 to around 6100 yards. The first few holes are just a warm up for what you will be store starting hole #5. The course is always in pristine shape too. The staff in the pro shop and restaurant are always friendly, nice, and helpful. If you have the chance to go the Milwaukee Golf Show they handle out 2 for 1 passes all weekend long so I've used several of these - they work on all days but Saturday. I've played this course around 18 times over the last 4 years and have never paid full price with all of the deals they do and part of the 50/50 club. Bring extra balls since you will go through them quickly. They have GPS in the carts since several of the holes are more course management than brute force. It gets 4 stars since it is really out of the way for anyone living in the Milwaukee area or even north of the course. There are giant power lines that run through the course that are a bit of an eye sore and you can hear the cracking of electricity on calm days.

Holy impressive, The Bull. This golf course is beautiful, well upkept and all of the employees are super friendly and attentive (unlike Fire Ridge and The Bog). We had a free round coupon with a purchase of a cart, and typically when you have one of these it is of my experience that you get an attitude about it. Well, not here, and it was welcomed. The next time I am going to spend some money (100$) on a round of golf, it will be The Bull that wins my business because of their friendliness.

I was here for a wedding reception. It is hard to gauge what The Bull was responsible for and what they weren't. But, the bar was nice and had great service. The food was good too, and the interior was nice. We looked around at the golf course a bit and from my view it seemed pretty hot.

ONLY REVIEWING GOLF The course is one of the best layouts for the price I have played. I played in the morning and while I imagined the conditions of the course to be a 5/5 they were probably closer to a 4.5 Little things like a lot of cut grass in the fairways would knock it down a touch. It was a very, very, difficult course. I played the tips and it was extremely long and difficult. If you can not control your ball of the tee you will be in your pocket all day. Played on a Monday morning and the course was very quiet. I was able to get around there in a bout 3 hours with a local. In fairness this course is closer to a 4.5 than a 4 but the rack rate is very expensive. It is definately in the shadow of the 4 Kohler related courses but it does hold its own at a somewhat lower cost.

I've played here a couple times. It is a very difficult track, but as beautiful (especially in the fall) as it is tough. Bring plenty of extra balls; you'll need them. The layout is great; I'll add a few pictures. I've also reviewed the course here: danperry.com/wordpress/b… If you go to Kohler, be sure to add this to the list. Much less expensive, but definitely as challenging as the two courses at at Blackwolf Run.

Came here last minute with a group of friends on NYE and we are a group of young 20-something professionals that didn't really meet the average age of the restaurant, but it was still a good time. It's a good thing we were brought to a back room once the wine started flowing. I had the lobster bisque (!) , roasted vegetables and mushroom risotto and it was all so good! All of my friends really enjoyed their meals, one said the orange roughy was especially good. My friend said the twice baked potato was also really good. The service was very friendly and helpful.
